About Chef

A native of Belgium, Executive Pastry Chef Chris Busschaert has become renowned for pastry and confectionary of the highest standard. From the early age of 14 he began work at the Patisserie Francaise in Kortrijk.

Chris then had the opportunity to apply his talent and develop his skills at Eddy Noppe in Harelbeke, regarded by Relais Desserts as one of the world’s leading pastry shops.

He subsequently moved over to the hotel industry at Hotel Villa Marquette, Kortrijk where-after his international career then began to take shape with posts at five-star hotel chains in Singapore, China and now Thailand. In Singapore, he was recognized as among the top three pastry chefs in 2004.
